Right from configuring the favorite applications, feeding the selected application file, down to setting the user configurable function keys, Nico’s Commander is a capable application that can do lots of other operations like file management and archive management.
Nico’s Commander can work as an FTP client, a quick graphics viewer, and performs multiple operations like searching files using wild-cards, and strings inside files, zipping and unzipping files with merely some clicks, and comparing files and directories. It supports plenty of archiving formats such as RAR, TAR, CAB, TZ, and GZIP archives, and features explorer like context menus, and supports FAT32 and NTFS formats. It comes with an in-built hex editor as well as viewer for text and graphical files including GIF, JPEG, PCX, BMP and TIFF formats.
The user can reach the control panel applets with a click of a button, and use FTP sites as local disks, along with proxy or firewall support. It is also possible to print ASCII files of a couple of pages on a sheet, and also supports command prompt with command history. User can also shutdown the PC instantly and also make use of the help tools. |
